Found an awesome festival in the valley, but don't know how to get there?
Try out the Valley Metro System light rail!
As a freshman in college, I don’t have the luxury of having a car on campus to get around. Uber and Lyft are fair alternatives, but with the expensive costs and the bothersome surge prices, these services can quickly become pretty costly.
The Valley Metro System light rail is a great alternative that runs through Phoenix, Tempe and Mesa. It was definitely confusing at first, but after a time or two, it couldn’t be more straightforward!
With a one-ride fare of only $2.00, the system is a cheap alternative to most other modes of transportation, and a wonderful way to beat the traffic and parking at the many busy events in the valley.
