Growing up in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, I was pretty used to life in the suburbs; but Phoenix, Arizona is a different story. Moving to a big city on the other side of the country away from all of my friends and family from home has been invigorating, terrifying and amazing all at once.
One of my favorite parts of living in this desert city (aside from the ever-present sunshine) is the constant flow of events that take place. I love getting the chance to dive into the culture that makes up this new place I now call my home away from home!
This outlook is what naturally led me to cover the Phoenix Chinese Cultural & Cuisine Festival. I grabbed some friends, watched the performances, tried some incredible lo mein, and had a blast at the festival.
Come explore this cultural celebration with me that took place in Margaret T Hance Park February 10th-12th through my photo slideshow!
